Press Release: Scoops on the Edge Sprinkles in Joy!

Randy and Karen Bradshaw gathered with ice cream enthusiasts, Mayor of Cedaredge Richard Udd, playfully dubbed Queen of Cedaredge Cathy Meskel, and founder of the Grand Mesa Business Guild Cassie Fortman to celebrate the grand opening of their business, Scoops on the Edge. The ceremony was held at their new shop inside Cedaredge Foodtown, 210 SE Independence Ave. in Cedaredge.

Meskel opened the ceremony with fun facts about the history of “I Scream, You Scream, We All Scream for Ice Cream!” Mayor Richard Udd thanked the Bradshaws for bringing this valuable addition to our community and offering it at the town's small market. The giant, ceremonial scissors were in place and gold ribbon stretched across the Bradshaw’s supporters. Together, they cut the ribbon at the countdown and everyone cheered.

Karen and Randy moved to Cedaredge two years ago and bought the Mesa Moon Motel, which they have since renovated and generously utilize the famous sign out front to support community events.

“When we first got here, we always thought it would be fun to do ice cream," the Bradshaws said in a statement. "We were trying to figure out a way to do it at the hotel, but the details wouldn’t work. When the space became available in the grocery store, we thought it would be the perfect spot for ice cream with the drive-thru! Everybody loves ice cream and everybody is always happy when they are eating it, and we thought it would be a great addition to our town.”
